How to become Lucky

Posted by:

Can you remember a time when you were lucky?  How would you like to become “lucky” in all you do?

This may seem like a stretch, but really what is luck?  One of my favorite definitions of luck is this: “Luck is being in the right place, at the right time, and being prepared.”

With that definition it seems easier to become lucky. Many times we are in the right place at the right time, but guess what we are not prepared for what is in front of us.  I know there have been many times in my life, when I was just not ready to have what was presented in front of me.  How many times has this happened to you?  I would bet there are more times than you are aware of.

So how is it that we can be prepared?

Here are the 5 essential steps to make sure you are prepared when Luck comes your way;

  1. Know what you really want. This is the most critical part. It is important to be detailed and clearly understand what it is you are looking to have.
  2. Visualize already having it. This is nothing new.  We have all heard that visualization is the key, but how many actually do this step.  Successful individuals understand this and make it part of their daily life.
  3. Change your beliefs.  You must truly believe you will have what you want.  No more dreaming, only believing.  Don’t let others change your beliefs.  With the right beliefs you can have all you want.
  4. Take ACTION.  Now you must take action towards your goal.  Don’t wait. Do it now.
  5. Give Gratitude.  Gratitude is often overlooked.  We all have things in life we are grateful for.  What are those?  Give thanks every day for all you have.

Following these 5 steps will get you on your way to becoming lucky.  They are not hard, but do require time, persistence and dedication.

Now get up and become LUCKY!

    I can speak from experience when speaking about Mr. Haugerud.

    I worked for Will for 1 year & was consistently blown away by his positive approach to things. This is a man that truly practices what he preaches.

    His “can-do” attitude & overall perspective helps others that have a negative view….see there is a different way to approach things.

    I use many of Will’s techniques to “refresh” my thinking when I get stuck in the rut & will continue to do so.
